My First Lobster

As a young child, butter sauce running down my chin was endearing -- less anymore. And although I might eat my lobster with a bit more decorum, I still eat lobster with similar relish and delight as after i was a ten years old, feasting on my first. I will vividly recall the way the platter was presented to you me and that i was given the 'tools' to carry out the business of eating this unique looking food. I will remember feeling the cool, smooth cracker during my hand and determining how to maneuver it; fitting the shell between your cracker legs just the right angle to obtain that distinct satisfying, crunching sound that exposed the juicy white meat. It had been like standing on a treasure hunts; feeling the excitement when I'd look for a big bit of lobster meat within an unexpected place. And, just after i thought that I'd exhausted the search and ate all there is to be found, I'd find another little piece to hack. By the time I finished that first lobster I felt as an explorer inside a culinary adventure. It had been clear in my experience way back then, it was not merely dinner; eating a lobster was an event -- a very fun experience! Think for any minute, when else is wearing a bib anything of honor?

Now, all developed, I find that my dinner companions will always be quite entertained because they enjoy witnessing my enthusiastic lobster cracking. They are delighted through the zest that I approach the job at hand. This is the thing about eating a lobster, you need to work for it. I wonder in the event that's what increases the pleasure of eating it. Could it be true, despite a lobster dinner, when you toil and expend effort, the fruits of the labor allow it to be taste better still? Now, lobster tails, served on their own are wonderful, but definitely another experience. Are they not the prize with no good fight? With lobster tails, there is no need to master the cracker, no spurting juices, no search for the last tidbit of meat; everything that define eating a lobster being an activity instead of as just a delicious meal. But do not get me wrong, I'd never turn from a lobster tail and order the chicken.

As holds true with most from the 'firsts' in our lives, my first lobster will be memorable. So that as is also true on most of those life 'firsts', the lobsters I've had since only have been better.
